Home of the world speed record of 333.95 MPH! The Texas Motorplex hosts the annual NHRA Fall National auto racing event, and more than 90 other racing events.
The Texas Motorplex is considered one of the finest 1/4 mile drag racing facilities in the nation. Constructed in 1986 by Billy Meyer, the Texas Motorplex is known across the country as "the ultimate drag racing facility" both by drivers and the fans alike. The Motorplex hosts over 90 events annually, with 500,000 fans visiting the racetrack annually.

With over 3,500 surface acres, Lake Bardwell is of one of the largest attractions in Ellis county with annual attendance exceeding 500,000. The sparkling body of water offers skiing, fishing, swimming, boating and more to be done at your leisure. Camp, picnic, or host a special gathering on the 1,800 acres surrounding the lake. Highview Marina rents paddle boats and offers fishing space in a covered pavilion.

This park is truly a gift to visitors, guests and residents alike. It is a unique, beautiful gathering place featuring a hand crafted “Art Wall Sculpture” and “Performance Gazebo”. The Art Wall Sculpture is a unique example of public art and will draw people from the region to downtown Ennis. This gorgeous park functions as an economic catalyst by enticing people to experience the park and then shop the nearby stores. Sing along with a group enjoying live music at the performance gazebo, make a new friend while watching your children play on the climbing rocks, connect with your family while admiring the art wall sculpture. The Ennis Farmers Market opened in April 2014 to provide our neighbors garden and farm fresh produce and food products. On an given Saturday, there are 500 patrons that shop the Market and 25 vendors providing a wide selection of fruits, vegetables, honey, meat, nuts, cottage and prepared food and crafts. Special events are scheduled throughout the season. In 2020, the Ennis Farmers Market has been renamed Ennis Bluebonnet Market and will incorporate new vendors and products in addition to your favorite produce vendors.

Construction for Galaxy Drive-In began in 2003 and opened on December 17, 2004 with three screens. They expanded to 4,then 5, then 7 screens and expanded from one snack bar to two. They have also converted from film to all digital movies.
